The business referred to in the title is crypto and NFT, yes both are said by Bill Gates to be "100% based on greater fool theory" or if interpreted freely means "100% based on the dumbest theory".
Indeed, in Muamalah the name of buying and selling is the exchange between valuable goods with useful goods, or between valuable goods and useful services, the most ideal application is between money and goods, money with services.
Especially if what is meant by money is something that is indeed valuable and everyone recognizes it as valuable, namely gold and silver. Exchange will be fairer, if gold money is exchanged for goods / services that are useful or valuable as well, then the money continues to rotate in society.
In the case of crypto and NFT, the strangeness is not only in the crypto products and NFTs, although they are liked by some humans, but what is even more surprising is that when Muamalah is widely known, there are still many Muslims who do not believe in Muamalah itself, even in total do not believe in their religion, on the contrary, if Westerners give judgments, they are totally trusted.
Islam is a perfect religion, has guidelines so that humans can run their lives in the world, including in terms of obtaining wealth through business or Muamalah. Business models such as crypto and NFTs will eventually lead to gharar, maysir and usury.
This does not mean that Muamalah rejects progress, but that technological progress should bring people more intelligent, and more civilizational, not sucking each other's property in disguised ways using technology.
Islamic civilization is recorded in history to have created various technologies and knowledge that are useful to this day, even science and knowledge that is in Islamic civilization, distributed for free!, to anyone!.
Even today, Muslims still receive progress, but not progress that plunges, but progress that increases piety and worship to Allah Azza wa Jalla, one of which is through Muamalah Maliyah.
Therefore, learning Muamalah Maliyah is becoming more urgent today, because contemporary issues will be more complex with the presence of the era of technological disruption.
