Muamalah During Ramadan

Alhamdulillah, the month of Ramadan in 1444 Hijri has come, the joy of Muslims has reappeared, because the hope of staying in touch with family in their hometown this year, God willing, can be carried out.


In particular, the previous pandemic conditions did limit friendship among Muslims, but under any circumstances, friendship and Muamalah must continue even though it is limited.


In economic conditions dominated by conventional economics, it has also limited Muamalah widely. Zakat payments, Hajj departures, waqf implementation, Sharia banking and other financial instruments can indeed be done by Muslims in Indonesia, because they are regulated by law, including a dual financial system between Sharia and conventional.


However, it has not been able to develop significantly to give birth to economic justice and public welfare. Riba, maysir and gharar are still rampant in society even though Ramadan. As the month of Satan's bondage, Ramadan has come to give Muslims the opportunity to change their situation to return to fitrah.


Especially the nature in muamalah, for example debt which is a contract of help, should not require any reward, so it should not be used to make a profit. Therefore Muamalah during Ramadan becomes very important, so that fasting becomes a blessing, so that the effect of Muslims can leave usury, maysir and gharar permanently.
